Welcome to Disney Discovered where we have all the most interesting Disney news. On Sunday April 2, 2023, D23 hosted an event at the Aquarium of the Pacific: D23 Beyond the Sea, celebrating 20 years of Finding Nemo.
At the way beginning you get a sticker sheet, a Loungefly treasure sheet, a D23 pin, and a postcard saying, “G’Day from THE TANK.”

After that, there are some trivia questions to keep you waiting like, “What does P. stand for in P. Sherman,” the answer is Philip.

After the quiz, there was something on the screen that showed Fun Facts. It’s on D23’s YouTube channel. Make sure to check them out. Back to what I was saying, some facts are… Animators had to scuba dive under the water, it took 8 months to make 6,000+ jellyfish, and Finding Nemo was the highest grossing animated film of all time.
After that an aquarium worker, Adam, gave a sea presentation. For example, he showed us what some animals in the movie are, like Pearl is a Flapjack Octopus, Bubbles is a Yellow Tang, Tad and Bill are Longnose Butterfly Fish, Gurgle is a Royal Gramma, Gill is a Moorish Idol, everyone’s favorite Blue Tang, Dory, and Nemo and Marlin are silly clownfish.

Then we get on with the film. There were no bonus secrets or anything they showed on screen.

After the film you could explore the aquarium at night, open only for D23 members. You could get stamps on the aquarium map, explore the baby animals area, and see Dory, Mr. Ray, Bubbles, Crush and other Nemo characters up close. But in my opinion, the sea otters were the best, you should go check it out.

Last but not least, the Loungefly station. Three lucky winners got a Nemo backpack. They knew they won because on the back of their pass they had a sticker with a sea animal on it. We had another chance to win by drawing a plastic bubble from a treasure chest. I got a bubble that said small so I got a pin set. It had pins like, Zootopia, Cherry Tree Lane, Monstropolis 23-19, and Kuzcotopia Boo Ya

So in summary, we had a huge blast at Finding Nemo where we learned facts about sea animals, got pins and postcards, and looked at the sea life in the aquarium. I really enjoyed it and I hope you enjoyed this.
