Turtle Talk: Crush Names His 60 Kids, Including Keanu & Ninja Turtles

Turtle Talk with Crush is in DCA (Disney California Adventures). In Hollywood Land, it’s in the Animation Center. The purpose is mainly to talk with Crush. Sometimes he asks you a question and YOU ask him a question.

I asked Crush a question. The question was “Can you name all of your kids.” He was like, “Yes. <pause> Oh, you mean right now?” He said he had 60 kids but he only named 58. He probably left out some Crush Jrs!

This is what he said:

“Squirt is my youngest, and then there’s Shell-don, Shell-by, Me-shell, Her-shell, Our-shell, Ro-shell, Trishell, Leeshell , One-shell, Two-shell, Red-shell, Blue-shell, Shell-alala-dingdong.

There’s the twins, let’s see, Wayne and Garth, Bill and Ted, Cheech and Chong.

The triplets, Mary, Kate and Ashley.

The quadruplets, John, Paul, George and Ringo.

The teenagers: Donatello, Michelangelo, Raphael, Little Wayne, Zach, Screech, Slater, Kelly, Jessie, Lisa Turtle.

My older dudes, Miccoli, Moondoggie, Gidget, Annette, Michael, Janet, Jermaine, Tito, Latoya.

There’s Crush Jr, Crush Jr, Crush Jr, Crush Jr, Crush Jr, Crush Jr, Crush Jr, Alejandro, Crush Jr, Crush Jr, Crush Jr, all the way up to my oldest dude, his name is Keanu. He’s like over 100 and still lives at home. We’re working on him.”

I think the adults knew more of the names than the kids. According to mom:

  • Wayne and Garth – from Wayne’s World
  • Bill and Ted – from Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure
  • Cheech and Chong – a comedy duo
  • Mary, Kate and Ashley – Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, the twins from Full House (and sisters of Elizabeth Olsen, aka Scarlet Witch)
  • John Paul, George and Ringo – the Beatles!
  • Donatello, Michelangelo, Raphael – three of the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The fourth is Leonardo. They’re also named after real artists!
  • Zach, Screech, Slater, Kelly, Jessie, Lisa – from Saved By The Bell
  • Michael, Janet, Jermaine, Tito, Latoya – the Jacksons
  • Keanu – like Keanu Reeves, aka the voice of Duke Kaboom and also in the Bill and Ted’s movie

We weren’t really sure about Miccoli (?), Moondoggie, Gidget and Annette… Do you know who they are?

After he named his kids, Crush wanted me to answer his question. When he went to go find the item he said, ”Is it the Dinglehopper?” — a reference to Little Mermaid. He got out a foam finger. I told him what it was.

He asked, “what do you do with it?” I said you usually bring it to sports games. You cheer for the team you want to win with the foam finger on your hand. So he raised the foam finger and said, ”I did it…” (sarcastically)

And that was my Turtle Talk with Crush moment. Please watch the clip. 😊
